ABOUT ME

MY STORY

I am a portrait photographer based in Western New York; born and raised in Jamestown. When I was a sophomore at Southwestern High School I took my first photography class, with teacher Mark Kirsch. Kirsch always pushed me to step outside the box and create fun and interesting work. Out of the three years I competed in the Storrs All High Photo Show (at the Kenan Center in Lockport, NY) I won Best Black and White twice. After I started my first job at age 16, photography slowly made its way to the back burner. At the age of 20 I decided it was time to prioritize my hobby by taking on shoots whenever possible. I struggled to balance work, home, and hobbies so in 2020 I quit my job to pursue photography full time. Unfortunately, the world shut down that same year and I was forced to go back to my fast food job. Throughout the pandemic I tried to niche down, find my style, and decide if this is what I truly wanted to do. Between 2021 and 2022 I shot 3 weddings, a handful of couples, portraits and seniors. These shoots gave me the push I needed to take a leap of faith and switch to a part time job, in hopes that photography will become my full time job. I shoot on a Sony A7iii, currently only offer outdoor sessions, and have a warm editing style. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to book a session today!
